Just months after its decades-long home went up for sale, the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters' Market has a new lease on life.

As of April next year, it will operate in the Landmark District, which is owned by the Stober Group.

“This partnership stands as a testament to more than just a change of scenery; it's a shared vision painting a vibrant future of community and interaction,” states a news release from the Stober Group issued today, Sept. 5. “With strategic positioning, the Landmark District ensures all Kelowna residents can revel in the market's offerings, all while the market embarks on an exciting new phase of its storied journey.”

No details were given on what that new phase will be or exactly where it will be located in the highrise district next to Highway 97 between Spall and Burtch roads.

The Farmers’ Market has been in Kelowna for 28 years and operated on almost two acres of land across Dilworth Drive from Orchard Park shopping centre on Wednesdays and Saturdays. That land is owned by Orchard Park. It was put up for sale this spring for almost $13 million.

The market is scheduled to keep running in its current location through October.

“Our partnership with Stober Group represents a shared dedication to enriching our community,” Allie Becker, president of the market said in the release. “We're excited to grow in a space that resonates with the spirit of Kelowna."
