Kelowna cake company makes giant TP cake for quarantine birthday request

It’s not every day that a local cake company gets the opportunity to bake a birthday cake based on a global pandemic.

Whisk Cake Company, based in Rutland, recently created a quarantine themed cake from a customer's request.

The cake features a giant toilet paper roll, hand sanitizer, a face mask and a caution tape message saying “quarantine, happy 29th birthday.” All of it is completely edible, according to the company's Facebook post.

“Although we are deep into Quarantine 2020, this customer at least had a sense of humour for her birthday celebration today,” according to the post.

The TP vanilla roll is also filled with Latte Buttercream and Dulce de Leche.

The company also recently prepared a special sushi cake for an 18th birthday celebration that looks exactly like the real thing.

The cake company is only accepting custom orders with pre-booked pick-up times and has closed its cafe temporarily.

To place an order call 778-753-5678 or email info@whiskcakes.com.
