Planes are being hampered by winter weather at Kelowna's airport, causing delays today.

Kelowna International Airport warned travellers today, Dec. 24, that winter weather is causing delays with some inbound and outbound flights.

"Crews are working hard to get passengers on their way as quickly as possible. Please check your flight status with your airline before leaving for the airport," according to YLW's latest tweet.

As always, it's a good idea to check with the airline before heading to the airport.
