KAMLOOPS — The city's only Thai restaurant closed their doors for good last week.

The owner of Salajai Thai Restaurant on the city's North Shore, Ken Mackie, says their last day was on April 28.

"We are moving to Thailand and retiring," Mackie says.

The restaurant opened six years ago. Mackie says they are appreciative of all the customers who came to the restaurant over the years to enjoy their food.

They plan on enjoying their time in Thailand and travelling.

Mackie says they were the only Thai restaurant in the city. The restaurant was located at 542 Tranquille Dr. on the city's North Shore.
