A Kamloops woman discovered she is $675,000 richer over her Saturday morning coffee.
Angela Gardner won $675,000 after scratching three identical cash symbols on her Set for Life ticket, according to a B.C. Lottery Corporation press release.
“I turned to (my boyfriend) and said, ‘I think I won,’” Gardner said the release. “We checked the ticket on his Lotto! app. I called BCLC to see if this was real. I was in complete shock.”
Gardner plans to use her winnings to travel in B.C., and undertake some home improvements.
“I’ve always wanted to have a swimming pool, and this will help make this a reality,” she said, adding she will also use the prize to save for her retirement.
Gardner purchased her Set for Life scratch ticket at McGoo's Smokes N Stuff in Kamloops.
Although she hasn't had time to celebrate yet, Gardner plans on having a family dinner.
“A few people have said I should buy a bottle of Champagne,” she said.
