KAMLOOPS - There's going to be a bit of summer later this week in Kamloops.

That heat doesn't show up right away though as the Environment Canada forecast today, May 1, calls for clouds and a few showers, the wind becoming east at 20 km/h this afternoon. We are looking for a high today of 14 Celsius. The wind will become light this evening, with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a low of 2 C.

Tomorrow it'll clear up, with a mix of sun and cloud. Things will warm up throughout the day, too, with a high of 20 C. Cloud will move in in the evening when temperature drops to 10 C.

Clouds remain for Wednesday, but it’ll keep warming up with highs of 25 C. Overnight the temperature will only going to drop to 14 C.

Thursday you’re going to want to break out the shorts and tropical themed shirts. The forecast calls for a sunny day with a high of 29 C and an overnight low of 14 C.

Friday is expected to be completely different, with clouds, a high of 22 C and a 60 per cent chance of showers or thundershowers.

Right now the weekend is looking nice, with sunny days and temperatures in the low 20s.

Seasonal normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of about 20 C and lows of 6 C.
