The restrictions in place due to COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to all live concerts, but the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra is bringing the gift of music to the world for free.
A pre-recorded, virtual holiday concert called a Christmas Variety Show, be viewed for free for a limited time, according to a Kamloops Symphony Orchestra media release.

The concert will feature performances from over 40 musicians from the orchestra in a wide array of different combinations.
“It was very important for us to continue with Christmas programming, even with our complicated circumstances,” KSO executive director Daniel Mills said in the release. “We are very grateful for the amount of support we have received over the last nine months and wanted to offer this program as a gift back to the community."
The show will be available online free of charge from Dec. 13 to Jan. 8 on the Kamloops Symphony website here.
Instead of selling tickets, the Symphony will be accepting donations.
"We are very fortunate to have been able to bring together these professional musicians to put this concert experience together," Mills said. "In a time when we can't physically come together, hopefully our audiences will enjoy it from the comfort and safety of their own homes.”
