KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Independent Short Short Film Festival is now accepting submissions for their annual celebration of local filmmakers.
The Kamloops Film Society invites all local filmmakers to submit a less than five minute film to the Kamloops Independent Short Short (KISS) Film Festival, for a chance to win prizes awarded by several community groups including the Kamloops Arts Council, Joy Factory Films and the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission.
The film festival has been celebrating local filmmakers in the Thompson-Nicola Regional District for several years. There are cash prizes for first, second and third place. As well as a youth prize and an audience favourite, according to the festival's official website.
Films must be submitted on a DVD or USB format and can be dropped at MovieMart located downtown.
Last year's first place winner was Josef Perszon for the film Holy Dungarees.
