Police seized numerous weapons from a Kamloops storage facility yesterday including firearms, explosives, crossbows and nunchucks, as part of a gang unit investigation.
According to a release, Kamloops RCMP's Targeted Enforcement Unit, which investigates the cities growing gang presence, executed a search warrant at a commercial storage facility believed to be controlled by a participant in the local drug trade June 10.
Because of the explosives or potential explosives, the RCMP Explosives Disposal Unit had to be called in to secure the items for processing and disposal.
