Kamloops RCMP seek man wanted for assault with a weapon

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who is wanted on four outstanding warrants.

Brandon Butterfield, 37, of Kamloops is wanted for break and enter, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and disobeying a court order in relation to an incident that occurred on August 24, 2022, according to a media release by Kamloops RCMP.

“Out of respect for the victim in the August incident, we are not releasing more specific information as it relates to the assault,” said watch commander for Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet in the release.

“We can confirm that the victim was known to Butterfield and investigators are confident they were the target.”

Butterfield is described as a Caucasian man standing 5’6” tall and weighing 141 lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

He has a number of tattoos, including a tears and treble clef on his forehead, a grim reaper on his left arm, a spider web on his left hand, a bird with an arrow through it on the back his neck.

Butterfield may be in the Kamloops area however to date he has not been located. He may have possibly be traveling elsewhere in the province, and be associated to a 1999 green Volkswagen Golf, said Kamloops RCMP.

Anyone with information about Butterfield’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local police, or the Kamloops RCMP and cite file 2022-29843.
