Kamloops RCMP nab four impaired drivers in five hours

FILE PHOTO

Kamloops RCMP officers nabbed four impaired drivers in five hours last night.

“Frontline officers are always observing motorists and their driving behaviours so they frequently do find impaired drivers,” Kamloops RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a media release.

“But to find four impaired drivers on a Monday night shift is unusual.”

The drivers all lost their licenses for 90 days, face significant fines and had their cars impounded, RCMP say.

Kamloops RCMP urges drivers to think ahead and make a plan on how to get home if they are drinking, such as public transportation or a taxi.
