Kamloops RCMP looking for toothless assault suspect

Kamloops RCMP are on the lookout for a toothless suspect believed to be involved in a break-and-enter and aggravated assault.

At around 1 a.m. on Sept. 25, officers were called to the 900 block of Victoria Street for a break-and-enter and assault report, according to an RCMP media release.

A male victim had been attacked after interrupting a break-and-enter in progress.

The man had been hit with a blunt object and was transported to hospital with serious injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening.

“During the altercation, the victim managed to strike the suspect and possibly knock out one of his teeth,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “If you know anyone who had one less tooth on Monday morning and may be a suspect, please contact police as soon as possible.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid 30s with clean cut, shorter hair, an athletic build and dressed in multiple layers of clothing.

Anyone who witnessed the event, or has video or dash camera footage related to the investigation, is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2023-34820.
