Kamloops RCMP investigate stabbing on Valleyview Drive

KAMLOOPS - A man is in hospital after he was stabbed during an attack in Kamloops on Sunday.

The 36-year-old man had been standing on the side of the road when a Kamloops RCMP officer saw that he appeared to have a stab wound. The officer found him last night, Oct. 28, at about 6:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of Valleyview Drive, according to an RCMP media release.

The man was taken by ambulance to hospital with a serious stab wound.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in the release that during the search for suspects, police found the victim’s vehicle parked at a nearby residence, which has been secured by police until a search warrant is secured.

Kamloops RCMP is asking anyone who has information on this stabbing or who witnessed it to contact them at 250-828-3000 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
