KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have captured an armed robbery suspect after months of investigation.

Michael David Trosky, 29, was wanted on several outstanding warrants in relation to a series of events across the Okanagan and Shuswap, an RCMP media release states.

Trosky was safely taken into police custody on April 5 by Kamloops RCMP.

In February, Vernon RCMP put out a call for help asking anyone with information on Trosky’s whereabouts to contact police. He was wanted by Salmon Arm RCMP in connection with an armed robbery incident on Dec. 17, 2018. In this incident, one suspect was arrested but Trosky managed to evade arrest.

A warrant was issued for Trosky’s arrest and included charges of attempted armed robbery, dangerous driving, flight from police, assault with a weapon and failing to stop, prohibited driving, failing to comply, breach, theft of mail and theft under $5,000.

Trosky is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 11 for a bail hearing.
