KAMLOOPS - The second of two suspects wanted for the murder of a Kamloops man has been arrested by RCMP.

Gordie Wayne Braaten was arrested today, March 4, at a residence on Cree Drive in Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc, according to an RCMP media release.

Braaten was wanted for the murder of Jason Glover who was shot at a home on Tranquille Road in Kamloops on Feb. 15, and later died in hospital.

Braaten's co-accused Hugh Alexander McIntosh was arrested in Langley on Feb. 26.

Because Braaten was considered armed and dangerous, the heavily armed Emergency Response Team was called in to assist with the arrest. Braaten was arrested without incident.

Both Braaten and McIntosh were previously known to police and are involved in the local drug trade.

Cree Drive has limited access as police complete their investigation and RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area.
