KAMLOOPS - For the eighth year in a row, the Kamloops will host the B.C. Lions for the CFL team's annual training camp.

Rookies will participate in a three-day mini-camp from May 25 to May 27, before the full team hits the field on May 28, according to a City of Kamloops news release.

The City encourages fans to drop by and watch practices. A full list of times can be found here.

The Lions began training in Kamloops in 2010, using the Tournament Capital Centre, Hillside Stadium and TRU.

The City says they are in negotiations with the Lions to continue the relationship.

Head coach Wally Buono says the club is excited to be heading back to the Tournament Capital.

"The time we spend in Kamloops each year preparing for the season has become a critical building block for our club," Buono says in the release. "The incredible array of facilities offered in Kamloops has made our time here both productive and tremendously rewarding."

The annual Fanfest will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 5 p.m., where fans can meet players and coaching staff. At 6 p.m., the Lions will host an amateur football clinic, followed by a scrimmage at 7:30 p.m. After that, players are available for pictures and autographs.

There will be face painting, inflatable games, and prizes for kids. The night will end with a fireworks show.
