A Kamloops man is in custody while he faces a second sexual assault charge.

Sebastian William Bradshaw, 28, is accused of sexual assault with a weapon in Enderby, just weeks after he was charged with a separate sexual assault in Kamloops.

He's scheduled to appear for a bail hearing on April 27, answering for his newest charge.

According to court documents, the alleged offence was on Feb. 18.

The victim's mother said the young woman is facing almost daily harassment from Bradshaw's friends in the North Okanagan area.

"My daughter really wants this to come out. She's not ashamed about what happened to her," her mother told iNFOnews.ca.

The pair of sexual assault charges against Bradshaw aren't his first run-ins with the law.

In 2021, Bradshaw, who sometimes goes by the alias Dean Wilson, was charged with impersonating a police officer, but those charges were dropped less than a year ago.

He was also charged in 2016 with sexual interference of a person younger than 16 and telecommunication with that victim to arrange sex, according to court records.

In a 2021 search warrant, Kamloops RCMP noted those charges and his subsequent court conditions, which included orders to stay clear of parks and anywhere someone under the age of 16 could be expected.

When officers searched his Columbia Street home, they seized police clothing, weapons, a police badge and rank chevrons. Although a copy of the search warrant mentions his criminal past and conditions, the investigation was related to allegations of police impersonation and didn't appear to have any focus on potential sexual offences.

Bradshaw is already scheduled for trial in January after he was charged by indictment on March 10 for a sexual assault in Kamloops.

That victim's name is protected under a publication ban, but Kamloops RCMP said it was reported to police in June 2022. It was alleged to have occurred about a month earlier.
