A suspect is in custody after two women reported they were sexually assaulted within minutes of each other this summer.
Justin James Brown-Henderson, 29, is facing two counts of sexual assault, and he's expected in court this week.
The investigation began on July 17 after two women said they were assaulted in the 200 block of Seymour Street around 4:40 p.m., according to Kamloops RCMP.
Police didn't provide anymore details about the incidents, but said officers quickly identified the suspect.
“In working together with our frontline officers, members of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment’s Sex Crimes Unit and General Investigations Support Team were able to quickly identify a suspect and advance the investigation to the charge recommendation stage,” RCMP Supt. Jeff Pelley said in the news release.
The BC Prosecution Service approved the charges on Oct. 4 and Brown-Henderson was taken into custody the next day.
He's scheduled to appear in court tomorrow, Oct. 13.
