Kamloops man buys travel trailer with $75,000 lottery prize

A Kamloops man, who won $75,000 playing the lottery, spent the winnings on a travel trailer.

Jeff Hanson won the money in the May 21 BC/49 draw, according to a press release from the B.C. Lottery Corporation issued today, Aug. 9.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Esso on Salish Road.

Hanson was out of town when he discovered how much it was worth.

“My first thought was disbelief,” he said in the release. “I wasn’t sure if I was seeing right.”

Hanson will also use the winnings to buy a new bike. 

“I’m excited,” he said.
