Last month, a Google maps street view car was spotted in several communities around the city of Kamloops and some residents later found blurry versions of themselves shown in front of their homes on Google Maps.
Brody Fisher and his brother saw the car coming through their Aberdeen community and ran out to strike a funny pose just in time. While Google photos are not very clear, it appears the brothers are fighting or maybe playing air guitar.
“We were arguing over who gets to drive which car today and my brother went for the classic nut twister 2000 as he dodged my left hook,” Fisher said. "We love the Google man!"
Google maps street view cars drive up and down public streets and roads with a giant 360 degree camera on their roof. Those photos are later put into Google Maps. It can be fun to look up your house address on Google Maps and see who and what is shown there.
Kamloops resident Chioma Darah found her Canadian mom captured on Google Maps last month, walking into her home on the North Shore, while Jamy Atkinson found a picture of her blurry self working at Super Save Gas on Westsyde Road.

"No I was not aware the car went by," Atkinson said. "I saw a post it had been driving around and I looked at all the places I'd been in the last few weeks and found myself, it's hilarious."
Google cars were created in 2007 and are currently driving in 87 countries around the world according to google.com and to date the cars have captured more than 10 million miles of imagery. The internet giant also collects a lot of map data from photo submissions.
