Two youths were arrested and handed over to their parents after generating a large police response in Kamloops Thursday morning.
Officers were called after a person was seen with a weapon at approximately 11:35 a.m., Oct. 3, around Valleyview Drive and Oriole Road, according to an RCMP media release.
Valleyview Secondary School was put on a hold and secure.
Two young people were arrested and two replica handguns were found near the school.
The youths were released to their parents.
No word from RCMP if any charges will be laid.
