A couple Kamloops Blazers and a Kelowna Rocket are racking up points against international competitors at the World Junior Champions.
The tournament is held at the end of every year and Team Canada's roster is always stacked full of future NHLers.
Team Canada has played twice this week, losing to Czech Republic 5–2 on Dec. 26, and defeating Germany 11–2 yesterday, Dec. 28.
So far in the tournament, Blazers captain Logan Stankoven had a goal and two assists, and Blazers forward Caedan Bankier had one assist. Rockets captain Colton Dach also had one assist.

Other notable Team Canada players include Connor Bedard – he’s leading the tournament in points and is expected to be drafted first overall in the 2023 NHL entry draft. Also on the first line with Bedard is Seattle Kraken forward Shane Wright, who was drafted fourth overall last year.
Team Canada’s next game is this afternoon, Dec. 29, against Austria at 3:30 p.m.
