Kamloops police officers were called to the Brock neighbourhood over the weekend for a man who assaulted staff outside a health-care facility before turning his rage toward an RCMP cruiser.
Kamloops RCMP headed to a health-care facility Southill Street around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, where they used a taser to get him into custody, according to an RCMP news release.
RCMP don't identify the health-care facility. No word if any of the staff were injured.
Police said the man turned on officers when they arrived.
He jumped onto the hood of a police car and hit the vehicle before the officer got out.
As the officer got out and told the man he was under arrest, he charged at the officer.
Police used a Taser to take him down, then brought him to the hospital under the Mental Health Act.
