A utility trailer was lit on fire with some sort of incendiary device in Kamloops on the weekend and the arson may be connected to the ongoing gang conflict.
Officers were called to the suspicious trailer fire at a home on 10 Street which is known to police, according to an RCMP media release issued today, May 23.
The trailer fire was called in at around 8:15 a.m. Sunday, May 19, and RCMP said it appeared someone had thrown an “incendiary device” to start the blaze.
The utility trailer, which contained household items, was damaged.

RCMP don’t say if anyone was hurt.
The hunt is on for a pair of suspects described by RCMP as men with light skin. The first suspect was wearing a black hoodie, large tan backpack and had a beard. Suspect number two was wearing a plaid jacket with a dark hood.
The same home was targeted in a drive-by shooting early in the morning on May 3. The suspect vehicle, a silver older model Volkswagen Jetta, was recovered by police a short distance away. No was hurt in the shooting.
