Kamloops armed robbery suspect on the lam

A man charged last week for an armed robbery in Kamloops is on the lam after he failed to appear in court.

The court issued a warrant for Jonathon Andrew Deneault yesterday, April 11, when he was supposed to appear for an arraignment hearing.

Deneault, born in 1993, was arrested after a robbery on Hillside Drive in Kamloops, April 2. He was charged the next day for robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

He was released on bail on April 3.

Kamloops RCMP arrested him at a Hillside Drive business the evening of April 2. Police seized "a number of items," including weapons, according to a news release last week.
