Kamloops Airport has released its passenger numbers for 2019 and it saw an overall increase compared to 2018.
2019 surpassed last year’s record growth by 2.75 per cent, making it the best year to date, according to a Kamloops Airport media release.
The year ended with a total of 361,586 passengers coming through. In 2018, the airport saw a total of 351,631 passengers.
Despite passenger numbers being down in the third and fourth quarters, the year ended strong with 34,884 passengers being served in December.
The airport’s partners Central Mountain Air, WestJet and Air Canada all contributed significantly to the continued growth, the media release says.
Swoop will be joining the Kamloops Airport in the spring with non-stop seasonal service to Edmonton, up to four times a week.
