The District of Lake Country is asking around if someone has lost an art project.

Karen Miller, communications officer with the district, said District workers discovered the needlework art piece near a bus stop on Highway 97 by 7-Eleven, across from the Winfield Professional Building, Jan. 27.

The piece depicts an Indigenous man, with a colourful background and date from 1995 listed at the bottom.

“We’ve had no takers yet,” Miller said, adding the District doesn’t find interesting pieces like this very often.

A post was created and shared through the district’s Facebook page. Describe the backing of the piece to claim it at the customer service desk at municipal hall.
