Health care workers from the region are being treated to free lift tickets at Big White Ski Resort.

Any employee of Interior Health has three Wednesdays to take advantage of the "Healthcare hero days," March 2, March 9 and March 30, according to the announcement from the resort.

During those days, health-care workers also get 50% off equipment rentals.

"We applaud our health-care workers who provide excellent care to our communities and appreciate everything they have done for us,” said Peter Plimmer, president and CEO of Big White, in the announcement.

“It is with great pleasure that we salute health-care professionals and heroes by offering a free day of skiing and 50% off rentals.”
