KELOWNA - Well, that's weird.

Several drivers in Kelowna are reporting an ostrich on the highway in front of Costco in Kelowna. They say the ostrich appears to be injured but couldn't say to what extent.

Ken Guenther was driving along Highway 97 in front of Costco.

"Suddenly I notice this big... plumage of feathers and this thing on the ground that looked unique," he says. "It was an ostrich."

He said it appeared to be wearing a mask and was being attended to by someone. He wasn't sure exactly what happened, but said it appeared to be a fender bender involving a vehicle with a trailer that stowed the bird.
