A cyclist who fell from their bike in Myra Canyon Park was extricated safely by Kelowna Fire Department crews.

The Kelowna Fire Department Dispatch Center received a 911 call at around 1 p.m. June 28, reporting that a cyclist had fallen from a Mountain bike in the Myra Canyon Park at the end of Stewart Rd. E.

"The first arriving crew was able to gain access to the patient on foot.  It was determined that the Gator ATV would be needed to extract the patient from the area," John Kelly, KFD Platoon Captain, said in a press release.

The patient was assessed, treated, packaged and then transported from the trail to a waiting ambulance.
