iNFOnews.ca houseboat cruise winner will use prize for family time

Kamloops resident Tracy Jobaggy is looking forward to spending time with family after winning a houseboat cruise package.

KAMLOOPS – When Kamloops resident Tracy Jobaggy clicked on the congratulations email, she thought winning a $3,000 dream houseboat vacation in the Shuswap was too good to be true.

Jobaggy got the email after a shift as a home support worker and she was certain it was a scam.

"I got home at 1:30 a.m. and after I found out, I didn't sleep until 4 a.m.," she says.

Jobaggy had entered the iNFOnews.ca Facebook contest for the $3,000 Twin Anchor Houseboats luxury package and won four-nights on a CruiseCraft 2 able to accommodate 15 people.

After double-checking with iNFOnews.ca and Twin Anchor Houseboats, Jobaggy allowed herself to really get excited. She's already mapped out where she wants to cruise on Shuswap Lake.

"It's beautiful, it's safe and it's out in the middle of nowhere," she says with a smile.

Jobaggy can't wait and she's looking at this trip as a chance for a family reunion to remember.

The package was supposed to be used in 2018, but Jobaggy made a special request to use it this September. She wants to hit the water in the fall to celebrate the homecoming of her daughter along with several family birthdays and anniversaries.

"It's just a huge month, so we are going to rock that. I'm so happy I'll have my children with me," Jobaggy says. "Everything happens for a reason."
