Craig McMorris, elder sibling of the Canadian snowboarding duo, stopped by Kamloops late last year to record some of the urban riding features the city has to offer.

He posted the video to his YouTube channel earlier this month where he showcased his prowess on the powder, but not without taking bruises on the way.

On the way into Kamloops, McMorris notes that Kamloops is "known for good rails."

"A lot of elevation, a lot of hills, and they have some snow right now," he said, as they drove along Highway 1 into the Tournament Capital in December.

With other riders, including local snowboarder Geremy Guido, the six-minute clip showcases the crew on board dropping in at local schools like South Kamloops Secondary School.

In between stops at Cache Creek burger joint Hungry Herbie's, the stop in Kamloops isn't all success. The snowboarders are stopped from riding at Sagebrush school, and McMorris later takes a minor injury when he bruises his tailbone.

Craig and Mark McMorris, originally from Regina, Saskatchewan, are both professional snowboarders and icons within the sport.

Both brothers appeared in this year's 2022 Winter Olympics, where Craig returned as an analyst and provided commentary for CBC broadcasting of the games. Rather than competing, the elder McMorris has spent the last few years making videos and serving as an analyst at several sporting competitions.

Mark took home one medal at this year's Olympics with bronze in the men's slopestyle event.
