Two local artists have collaborated to film a music video to spread positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Josh Evans, drummer for Kelowna band Lucky Monkey, chose to cover No Way Back by the Foo Fighters for this drum cover because he felt the lyrics were relevant to current times.

"Honestly I was just trying to spread some positivity out there and show people that it's still okay to have fun," he said.

"Times are pretty tough right now, but we can't get too down in life. Things are out of our control sometimes."

Local photographer Tyler Hooper filmed the video atop a mountain in Kettle Valley, overlooking picturesque Kelowna.

While Lucky Monkey took a break during the pandemic, Evans said they are back together in the studio working on some new music.

"We're very, very excited with how their turning out," he said. "We can't wait to start sharing them."

Evans said they will be releasing the songs as singles, and the first couple will come out in the next couple months.

Songs by Lucky Monkey are available on Soundcloud, Spotify and iTunes.
