You're stuck at home, trying your best to clean and disinfect, but are you doing it right?

We asked Kendra McFarland, owner of Vibrant Okanagan Concierge and Cleaning if she had any tips for cleaning and disinfecting common home surfaces and she went one step further to offer some of her tips on video. For example, were you aware that you should clean before you disinfect?

You can check it out below.

For more specifics, head over to the federal government website which also offers some helpful tips. The Government of Canada recommends cleaning commonly touched areas such as door knobs, handrails, elevator buttons and countertops. Although the virus can potentially live on these surfaces for days, it’s noted that common cleaning products are effective against COVID-19.

Cleaning and disinfecting are important steps to kill the virus, and it’s important to wash reusable cleaning materials in hot water with laundry soap and toss disposable items in a lined garbage bin.
