There is an old saying that if you aren't a Liberal at 20 you have no heart and if you aren't a Conservative by 40 you have no brains. Thanks for the excellent reporting. As a Vernon resident of many years, I'm appalled that the city decided to take another chunk of change from the developer. It's not much, but it's like our taxes, a little bit here and there, and it does send the wrong message. — Michael and Jodi White

Airline travel has become the most disgusting mode of travel. From the over crowded waiting areas to the overcrowded airplanes it is one disease ridden petri dish after another. Politics in B.C. have always been unusual in my memory whether it was Bill Bennett Junior and his Expo '86, which I took part in, or the Zalms with the headband wearing Lillian, or the two opposing Clarks, or the scandalous mayor who became a scandalous premier then got rewarded for his scandals, Campbell and the travesty of the Green-NDP alliance or the BC United fraud party and now the implosion of the electoral choices we don't want anyway.
