IN PICTURES: Fog, fires and traffic

From above fog can be seen taking over Kenna Cartwright Park earlier this week.

KAMLOOPS - The most notable thing most people saw or talked about this week was the fog.

The fog took over the city early in the week, though most days the sun was able to burn through and give a little light to many areas of the city. It forced flight delays, caused drivers to slow down and added an eery atmosphere to the many Halloween displays throughout the city.

When we weren't talking about the fog, there was the North Shore house that went up in flames. The fire is considered suspicious and neighbours have termed the house a 'drug house.'

This week the city also let North Shore businesses know the upgrades to the Tranquille corridor are delayed by about a month after several unexpected utility and service delays. Work near the east end of the road where it meets the overpass has resulted in traffic backing up constantly, with about two dozen cars waiting for the single lane traffic on a regular basis. The road is now expected to reopen to traffic by Nov. 15.
