Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and some pet owners in the Okanagan are getting creative and comical with the adorable outfits they are putting on their dachshunds leading up to Feb. 14.

The pups featured in this photo collection are part of the Kelowna Dachshund Club. They celebrate dachshunds and organizes races and outings with the pups throughout the year.

Heather McArthur manages the club’s Facebook page and her wiener dogs Shawney and Betty Boop are pictured wearing Valentine dresses and wigs.

“Doxies always seem to cheer people up, they are just so interesting and smart, and loving at the same time,” McArthur said. “I have two doxies and their personalities are so different. One is a sweet lug and the other is intense and loves to work at the training classes we go to.”
