iN PHOTOS: Intense sunset showcases beauty of the Shuswap

Residents in the Shuswap got a treat earlier this week when a bright orange sunset lit up the sky from Sicamous to Chase.

The sun could be seen on snowy mountain tops before sinking low, creating an intense but brief light show. 

Shutterbugs snapped photos of the moment and shared the images on social media for everyone to enjoy.

Equally as stunning were the photos of the afterglow reflected on lakes and rivers.
