KAMLOOPS - Want to help raise $100,000 for Canada’s cats?

Each year, that’s what the CFHS Just for Cats Video Festival does. Since its inception in 2014, Just for Cats has raised $210,000. And it’s the purr-fect time to raise our next hundred grand!

The CFHS Just for Cats Video Festival is a national fundraising initiative for Canadian cats. One hundred per cent of the profits go toward improving the lives of cats at humane societies and SPCAs across the country. In 2016, there will be at least 16 festivals across the country taking place from April to October.

This award-winning reel of internet cat videos is Kamloops with a meow on May 22, 2016, at Hal Rogers Centre, 2025 Summit Dr. There are two showings, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for children 6 to 12 years, and free for children under 5 years. Come and LOL at the world’s weird and wonderful cats — and help save lives right here at home.

The Just for Cats reel was curated by Will Braden of Henri Le Chat Noir fame. It was created as part of a public engagement project by the Walker Art Centre in Minneapolis. The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies brought it to Canada, and Just for Cats was born!
