VANCOUVER - The BC Coroners Service says there is no indication of foul play in the death of a man whose body has been found, more than two years after he disappeared.
A special identification unit with the coroners service has confirmed the remains of a man pulled from the waters off Vancouver's Yaletown district on New Year's Eve are those of 25-year-old Matthew Huszar (HOO-zar).
Coroner Barb McLintock says it appears Huszar died shortly after leaving a Gastown pub on Dec. 16, 2011.
She says it's still unknown how and why Huszar reached the marina, two kilometres away, and in the opposite direction from his home.
A coroners investigation is now focusing on the cause and manner of his death.
A massive search conducted in the weeks after Huszar disappeared turned up no trace of him.
