The Penticton Peach Festival has announced its 2024 lineup, and iconic Canadian rock band Honeymoon Suite will be headlining.

On Aug. 10, Honeymoon Suite will be at PeachFest and their opener will be the band Odds, according to a news release issued today, Feb. 20.

"We are thrilled to welcome Honeymoon Suite and the Odds to the Penticton Peach Festival. These bands are not just performers; they are storytellers, it's an honour to host such legendary acts at our festival,” Peach Festival entertainment director Alysha Forrest said in the release.

Honeymoon Suite was founded in 1982 by Johnnie Dee and Derry Grehan.

Their debut single New Girl Now topped the charts and was followed by several platinum-selling albums.

The Juno award winners have released seven studio albums and sold more than one million units worldwide including hits like Bad Attitude, Feel it Again, What Does It Take and All Along You Knew.

Honeymoon Suite's newest album was just released on Feb. 16.

BC band Odds is super keen to be part of the festival.

“We are always pumped to play outdoors in Penticton and see all those smiling faces. As BC boys we know it's the best place to be at the height of summer,” Craig Northey, the band's singer and guitarist, said in the release.

Odds is known for their many hits and their album Good Weird Feeling, which got them six Top 40 singles.

Their following album Nest got them their first number one hit with Someone Who's Cool.

The band is also known for singing the theme to one of Canada's most successful television comedies Corner Gas.

Penticton Peach Festival will offer five days of free, family-friendly, entertainment from Aug. 7 to Aug. 11. The festival will offer music entertainment, parades, vendors, amusement rides, and more. For more information on the festival, visit the event's website here.
