CALGARY - Calgary Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff will be sidelined at least another two weeks because his knee sprain is more serious than initially thought.

Kiprusoff suffered a sprained ligament in his knee during a game in Detroit last week and has missed three games since then.

Flames general manager Jay Feaster says Kiprusoff felt pain in his knee when the goaltender tested it Monday.

Calgary has claimed 33-year-old Joey MacDonald off waivers.

Leland Irving has been Calgary's starter in Kiprusoff's absence.
