Highway 5A has reopened this afternoon following a road closure due to a vehicle accident.

DriveB.C. reported the incident, Dec. 18, between Bridge Street and the Highway 97C junction, roughly 1 kilometre north of Aspen Grove to Princeton.

The road has since reopened.

An accident on Highway 97C east of Brenda Mines Road has also caused the road's closure in the eastbound lanes.

Crews are on scene and no detour is currently available.

Snowfall warnings are in effect for much of the Interior, including the Okanagan Connector and Highway 3. DriveB.C. weather cameras also show snowy road conditions.
