Herd of goats looking for owners in Armstrong

ARMSTRONG - Are you missing some goats?

Five goats were found on Creamery Road on Wednesday, Aug. 15, Janine Johnson says.

Her neighbours had them in a chicken coop when they called Johnson, who has a small farm.

“We’re not sure where they’re coming from,” Johnson says.

She says they are a range of different breeds, naming off: a kinder, a nubian, a myotonic, a silky and a pygmy.

In order to find the owners she has put up posts on several Facebook pages, called local radio stations and dog control.

Now that bylaw knows she has them they are now impounded with her, and if they are not claimed within 72 hours technically she can charge board.

“But I am not worried about that,” she says. “What if their owners are away?”

She released some photos but not all because she believes the goats belong together, and should anyone come claim them they will have to describe what the goats look like to her.

If you recognize these goats call Janine Johnson at 250-308-2055.
