WEST KELOWNA - West Kelowna has launched a new, interactive online budget survey which asks residents to provide input into the 2016 Budget.

As part of public consultation into its Draft 2016-2025 Financial Plan, West Kelowna Council is seeking feedback from the public on how taxpayers would like their tax dollars spent. The city has launched a new website at westkelowna.citizenbudget.com, as part of this year’s consultation. It is an interactive budget simulator to help Council understand what West Kelowna residents have to say about budget priorities. Feedback is also being sought into several City services.

Survey respondents use their property value, or the default average property value, to calculate their proposed tax bill and how it is allocated, making adjustments as they see fit. The survey will be open from Monday, Feb. 22 to Friday, March 25. Results will be provided to Council before final adoption of the budget.

West Kelowna residents can still meet West Kelowna Council face to face to discuss this year’s budget planning and strategic planning at:

Talk Budget with West Kelowna Council
Wednesday, Feb. 24
