KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops teenager who went missing on Wednesday, was found on Thursday, but reported missing again on Friday, has finally been located.
Kamloops RCMP confirms Shanna Dodman, 15, is safe and sound, but won't answer any questions about the confusion surrounding the missing person case.
Dodman was originally reported missing by Kamloops RCMP in the morning of Thursday, Jan 29. In a second media release issued at 6:10 p.m. that day, police said she was found in Logan Lake.
On Friday, Jan. 30, Kelowna RCMP media liaison Const. Kris Clark said a second missing person file on Dodman was filed Thursday night.
A Facebook message sent to Infonews.ca by Dodman's mother Jenny Dodman also confirmed her daughter was safe.
"I have found her and she called me. I have talked to the parent were she is and she is safe,” she said in the message. “She asked for the weekend with her friends in Lumby so I'm gonna pick her up Sunday."
Dodman's family and friends had made several posts on social media when she initially went missing, asking for the public's help to find her. Her family had also said her disappearance was out of character.
