KAMLOOPS - A missing hunter has been found safe and sound after Kamloops Search and Rescue trudged out to the Lac Du Bois Grasslands area overnight.
Search manager Alan Hobler posted on Facebook before midnight yesterday, Dec. 4, that crews had been called to help search for a missing hunter.
In the post, he asked the public to keep an eye out for a pickup truck near Jamieson Creek Main Haul Road, Noble Road and the Red Lake area.
Hobler says temperatures dipped down to -15 C overnight and crews lost sleep looking for the hunter.
"The missing hunter has been located," Hobler wrote early this morning. "Thanks to those (Kamloops Search and Rescue) members that gave up a nights sleep and went out searching at -15 C."
Hobler didn't immediately return calls for comment and there's no word on when the hunter was originally reported missing.
