Halloween to be dry but a bit chilly for Kamloops, Okanagan trick or treaters

As the sun goes down and the cute little ghosts and goblins (and Barbies and Marios) head out with their Halloween candy bags, they could find that gloves and toques will be in order tonight.

Those heading door to door for treats in Kamloops, if they start off early, could have a high temperature of  6 Celsius, but that will cool off as the sun sets (full sunset will be at 5:38 p.m.).

If they were to stay out late enough, the temperature could drop below freezing with an overnight low forecast at -4 C.

It will likely be slightly warmer in Vernon with a daytime high forecast for 7 C. It’s expected to only get to 3 C in Kelowna. Overnight lows in both cities are forecast to reach -3 C.

South Okanagan kiddies will fare better with the daytime high expected to reach 7 C and the low overnight just down to the freezing point.

It’s expected to be mostly sunny but clouds are likely to move in latter today and overnight with a moderation in temperatures, both highs and lows. There’s a chance of snow flurries by Wednesday.
