HALLOWEEN 2014: Zombie walks and monster bashes

There are lots of Halloween festivities taking place Friday Oct. 31 including a Zombie Walk downtown Penticton.

PENTICTON - Zombies, monsters, ghouls and goblins are getting ready to stalk the streets of Penticton this Halloween, but if you haven’t yet decided how to celebrate the spooky holiday on Friday, here are some ideas.

The Halloween Howler Charity Drive is being held at the Penticton Lake City Casino at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 each and 100 per cent of proceeds will be given to the South Okanagan Victim Assistance Services.

Downtown Penticton Zombie Walk and Costume Parade in downtown Penticton from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a costume contest, and trick or treating on Main Street.

Halloween Pirate Party at the Barking Parrot Bar beginning at 8 p.m. There is no cover charge and a chance to win a cash prize for best costume.

Halloween Bash at the Barley Mill Brew Pub and Bistro starting at 8 p.m. There will be chances to win prizes, including a trip to Las Vegas, for best individual and group costumes, just be there to enter the draw before it closes at 11 p.m.
