NHL goalie Carey Price and his family are leaving their Montreal home and making their move to Kelowna.

His wife Angela Price posted a photo to social media today, bidding farewell to their home in Quebec. The family had been living in Kelowna in the off season.

"I don't feel like it's a goodbye to Montreal because we will be back so often, but I do feel like it's a goodbye to our home and our neighbourhood," she wrote.

Price hails from the Ulkatcho First Nation near Anahim Lake and spent his minor and junior hockey seasons in the Williams Lake and Quesnel areas.

He was drafted fifth overall in the 2005 NHL draft, eventually playing in 15 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, becoming one of the greatest goalies in the team's history.

Interior design company Consentino wrote about the design of the Price's new luxurious Kelowna home on its website after a renovation.
